Trabzon Ticaret Mektebi 18 Nisan 1924 günü Ticaret Vekâleti’ne bağlı olarak açıldı. İlk müdürü Hamamizade İhsan Bey’dir. Öğretmenleri İstanbul Yüksek Ticaret Okulu öğretmenler kurulunca seçildikten sonra Ticaret Vekâleti’nce atanmıştır. Okul 1927-1928 öğretim yılında Maarif Vekaleti’ne bağlanmıştır. Okulun Ticaret Vekaleti’ne bağlı olduğu dönemdeki (1924-1927) yapısı ve faaliyetlerinin ele alındığı makale, öncelikle arşiv belgeleri ve yerel basından yararlanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Hamamizade İhsan Bey’in, 31 Mayıs 1927’de Maarif Vekâleti’ne gönderdiği rapor ilk defa bu makalede değerlendirilmektedir.

ABSTRACT

Connected to the Ministry of Trade, Trabzon School of Commerce was opened on April 18, 1924. Hamamizade İhsan Bey was the first principal of the school. The first teachers were chosen by a committee formed by İstanbul High School of Commerce instructors in collaboration with the Ministry. The school was connected to the Ministry of Education in the academic year 1927-1928. This paper deals with the 1924-1927 period when the school was connected to Trade Ministry, and discusses the structure and activities of the school in that period by using archival documents and the local press. Besides, Hamamizade Ihsan Bey’s report presented to the Ministry of Education on 31 May 1927 is handled by this paper for the first time.
